2012 horror film, 'In Fear'

On friday 25th of November a film crew knocked at my house saying that they were going to be filming a new 2012 horror film in the woods next to where I live. The film was a low budget movie and didnt have many people working on it. The story was, that a couple were driving for a romantic getaway, but loads of strange things start to happen and they find out that there actually  being stalked by something.

The scene that I got to see, was where the couples car comes to a stop and a huge tree falls down in front of them. To make the trees fall, they had it attached to some wire which then led to some form of tracter hidden in the woods about 40ft away. All of the production people knew that this tree was going to fall, but the actors knew nothing of it. This was the way the director wanted to ge the best natural reaction, but if that didnt go to plan they would spend the rest of the day filming in the car, there reactions, since they would have captured the tree falling.

The person I spoke said that I wasnt allowed to take photos or film anything going on, but she let me take one photo as they were getting everything ready for the shot.

This is where the shot was filmed, the couples car is just behind the land rover. So what had happend was, the couples car drive down here, come to a stop then suddenly a huge tree will fall down in front of the car. I think its amazing that they arrived here at 4am and are planning to leave at 5pm just to get a few minuites of footage. The film is actually based in Ireland but they like this location for a shot. The lady I was speaing to said that this film may not get released in the cinema it depends. The production team that are on set have helped in Simen Pegs films. And the women I spoke to has been in ceveral big movies, 'Centurian', and has worked with Brad Pitt.
