Alex Stow Evaluation
I think Alex’s work has potential, compared to mine his is longer. He has also used Photoshop by using tweens and a different form of onion skinning to do his stick man. I thought you could only do this method in adobe flash therefore I didn’t use Photoshop.
I preferred the way he did his title at the end compared to mine, his looked like a tween, like mine but his had photos of various pieces of art. Which I thought was a good idea because it represents the title ‘Innovation in art and design’.
I found the stick man part of the animation pretty funny, which I think is a good thing. Just the way he ran into the scene and the expressions on his face was pretty clever. One point though, I think it should have been a bit smoother (if possible). I thought the explosion was pretty cool too. I like the way he used Photoshop to create the fire inside it, I thought it looked really good; also he included the ‘Kaboom’ inside the explosion. But I think if he added sound then it would have made a big difference.
Blog
His blog seems pretty much up to date; his work was well presented and easy to see things. I think he should include some more experimentation work though, like playing around in Photoshop with stuff while taking screenshots. Just anything really that involves materials techniques and processes. Other than that his blog looks really good, all of his screenshots seem good to, he has explained them well.
